Dross Cooler

The skimmed dross is seamlessly loaded into our machine via a vibrating trough, where it travels through a rotating drum that is partially submerged in water, complemented by water sprays from above. Production Cooler

Clients typically load materials such as Molybdenum Oxide, quicklime, and iron ore into our coolers, where they experience temperatures of approximately 620°C after the roasting process. Within 40 minutes, the product is cooled to about 50°C, ensuring safe and easy handling. MFS Systems was founded and managed by. J Philip McMahon, who innovated the bulk cooling of heated materials like quicklime, aluminum dross, and other hot substances prone to oxidation. He developed a rotary cooling system that uses water as the cooling medium while maintaining separation from the minerals being cooled. These rotary coolers are now offered through RRD Welding's partner company, MFS Systems (2007) INC. Additionally, MFS Systems (2007) INC produces rotary coolers for both production and batch runs, as well as dust collectors to help companies comply with local EPA environmental standards.
